Thomas Henry's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Thomas Henry began his football journey at clubs like Beauvais and Fréjus Saint-Raphaël. In 2015, he joined Nantes. He made his first appearance in Ligue 1, which is France's top football league, on 12 December 2015. This was during a match against Toulouse FC. After playing just two games for Nantes, he moved to Chambly in June 2016.
Success at OH Leuven
In January 2019, Thomas Henry joined OH Leuven in Belgium. He had already shown great skill at Tubize, scoring 11 goals in the first half of the 2018–19 season. He continued to play very well at OH Leuven. In the 2020–21 Belgian Pro League season, he scored an amazing 21 goals. This made him the second-highest scorer in the entire league! Because of his excellent performance, many big clubs in Europe became interested in him. Overall, Thomas Henry scored 45 goals and helped with 12 assists in 79 matches for OH Leuven.
Playing in Italy: Venezia
On 24 August 2021, Thomas Henry moved to Venezia, a club that had just been promoted to Serie A, Italy's top football league. There had been a lot of talk about where he would go. He played his first game for Venezia just three days later. He scored his very first goal for the club on 11 September in a league match against Empoli, helping his team win 2–1.
Moving to Hellas Verona
On 16 July 2022, Thomas Henry signed a four-year contract with another Italian club, Hellas Verona.
Loan Spell at Palermo
On 16 July 2024, Thomas Henry went on loan to Palermo, a club in Serie B, which is Italy's second-highest league. This loan included an agreement for Palermo to buy him permanently if certain conditions were met.
Return to Belgium: Standard Liège
On 3 July 2025, Thomas Henry returned to Belgium. He signed a two-year contract with Standard Liège, where he plays today.
