Thomas N. Heffron (born June 13, 1872 – died May 24, 1951) was an American filmmaker. He worked as a screenwriter, an actor, and a director. He was born in Nevada, USA.

Before working in movies, Thomas Heffron was a lawyer. He also performed as a dancer in vaudeville shows. Vaudeville was a popular type of entertainment with many different acts.

Starting in the Movies

Thomas Heffron began his film career in 1911. He started with a company called Thanhouser. A few years later, he joined Paramount Pictures. He directed many films for Famous Players studio. All of his movies were made during the silent era. This means the films had no spoken words. Music and sound effects were added later. Actors used their expressions and body language to tell the story. Thomas Heffron left the movie industry in 1922.
