Thomas Ong Thian Chai (born on February 1, 1969) is a famous Singaporean actor and television host. He is also a businessman. Thomas Ong is well-known for his many roles in TV shows and for hosting different programs.

Thomas Ong's Journey to Stardom

Before becoming an actor, Thomas Ong worked as a flight steward for Singapore Airlines. This means he helped passengers on airplanes. In 1994, he decided to try something new. He joined a new TV company called Television Corporation of Singapore.

His first acting role was in a show called Dr Justice. He quickly became popular with viewers. In the 1990s, he won awards for being one of the "Top 5" and "Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes" three times. These awards show how much fans loved his work.

Thomas Ong has left and returned to MediaCorp, a big media company, several times. He would leave to work on other projects, like his businesses. He returned to MediaCorp for the fourth time in early 2012. He signed a three-year contract then. In January 2020, Thomas Ong announced that he was retiring from the entertainment industry.
