Thomas Wharton is an American artist, musician, and author who creates books and apps for children. He also works as a designer and helps companies with their communication. He helped start and owns two companies: Adventure House Communications Group and One Hundred Robots.

Thomas Wharton was born in Wheeling, West Virginia. He first studied music and earned a master's degree from the University of West Virginia. After that, he moved to New York City.

In New York, he decided to study art and design. He attended several well-known art schools, including Parsons. His artwork, especially his paintings, has won several awards. These include awards from the Hudson Valley Art Association and the Salmagundi Club.

Adventure House Communications Group

In 1990, Thomas Wharton started a company called Adventure House Communications Group. He co-founded it with his business partner, Robert Lowe.

For 15 years, Adventure House worked with Cambridge University Press. They helped design educational books. The company has also worked on design and branding projects for many big names. These include the New York Stock Exchange, MasterCard, and the Girl Scouts.

Children's Books and Apps

In 1991, Thomas Wharton wrote and illustrated a children's book. It was called Hildegard Sings. The story is about a hippo who loves to sing opera and dreams of becoming a star.

Publishers Weekly described the book as a "lighthearted and triumphant tale." Kirkus said it was "an excellent way to introduce kids to the opera."

Later, Thomas Wharton and Robert Lowe created a new company called One Hundred Robots. This company focuses on making apps for Apple devices. Their first app, The Night Before Christmas, came out in December 2010.

They then released Cinderella - A Princess Story in April 2011. On June 23, 2011, they released an app version of Hildegard Sings. This app was made for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
