Thorleif Brinck Lund (born June 7, 1880 – died June 30, 1956) was a famous Norwegian actor. He acted on stage and in movies during the time of silent films, which were movies without sound.

About Thorleif Lund
Thorleif Lund was born in Stavanger, Norway in 1880. His parents were Hans Geelmuyden Lund and Bertella Karen Lauritza Bertelsen.
Starting His Acting Career
Thorleif Lund began his acting journey on stage in 1905. He first performed at the Nationaltheatret (The National Theater) in Oslo. He also acted at the Centraltheatret in Oslo. Later, he joined the Den Nationale Scene theater in Bergen from 1908 to 1913.
In 1914, Thorleif Lund started acting in movies. He made his film debut in Copenhagen, Denmark. He appeared in several films there. Soon after, he signed a contract with Nordisk Film. For the next three years, he acted in about 35 movies!
Challenges During World War I
By September 1917, times became tough because of World War I. Many businesses, including Nordisk Film, faced financial problems. Because of this, Nordisk Film had to let go of about 50 actors. Thorleif Lund was one of them.
Life After Film
After leaving Nordisk Film, Thorleif Lund went on a theater tour. He traveled around Norway and Sweden with his wife, actress Ebba Thomsen. Other actors like Philip Bech and Alma Hinding joined them. However, the tour was not very successful.
In 1923, he acted in his last movie. It was called Republikanere (Republicans). After his acting career, Thorleif Lund became a businessman. He worked as an advertising manager at a large store called Magasin du Nord. Later in his life, he was a factory director for a company that made gloves.
Family Life
Thorleif Lund was married two times. His first marriage was in 1908 to Janne Lange Kielland Holm, but they later divorced. In 1915, he married the Danish actress Ebba Thomsen. Thorleif Lund passed away on June 30, 1956, when he was 76 years old. He is buried in Gentofte Cemetery in Denmark.
