The Story of Thorne
Thorne was first planned out in 1905. Many of the first people who settled there came from a town called Thorne in England. Because of this, they decided to name their new home "Thorne" too!
A post office opened in Thorne in 1905. This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years. It closed down in 1965.
