Tiata's History: A Royal Camp
Local stories say that a very important event happened in the Tiata area, specifically in a spot called "Los Reales" de Lorca. Back in 1244, King Fernando III of Castilla y León and his son, Prince Alfonso X, set up their army camp here. They were preparing to take over the Muslim stronghold of Lorca. This shows Tiata's role in the history of Spain!
