Tiffany Monique Ryan is an American singer and songwriter. She is also a talented background vocalist. Since 2007, she has sung for superstar Beyoncé. Tiffany was part of Beyoncé's background group, "The Mamas."

Today, Tiffany is the Vocal Director for Beyoncé's shows. She is also a lead background vocalist for the Renaissance World Tour. She is a member of Beyoncé's vocal group called "Pure Honey." Tiffany released her own music, including an EP called Nemesis in 2010. She also released several single songs. Tiffany is also a survivor of esophageal cancer.

Early Life and Music Journey

Tiffany Monique Marshall was born in Hermitage, Tennessee. Her aunt, Beverly, was a singer too. She inspired Tiffany from a young age. Beverly used to sing backup for Chaka Khan. When Tiffany was three, she sang her first solo song in church.

After her parents divorced, Tiffany and her mom moved to Newark, New Jersey. She joined the children's choir at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

High School and College

Tiffany went to Immaculate Conception High School. She was a great student and a cheerleader. She also ran track and started the school's gospel choir. Tiffany graduated in 1995.

She earned a scholarship to Morgan State University to study music. Later, she transferred to William Paterson University. She changed her major to Journalism and graduated in 2004.

Singing for Other Artists

While in college, Tiffany joined a singing group called OnPoint. They performed from 1997 to 1999. OnPoint even appeared on a song for K-Ci & JoJo. The group later broke up.

From 2002 to 2006, Tiffany worked in an office job. But she kept singing part-time. She became a background vocalist for famous singers. These included Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera.

Joining Beyoncé's Team

In 2007, Beyoncé's music director contacted Tiffany. He asked her to join Beyoncé's band for her upcoming tour. Tiffany quickly left her office job. She joined The Beyoncé Experience tour.

She has performed with Beyoncé's band, Suga Mama, on many tours. These include the I Am...Sasha Fierce Tour and The Formation World Tour. She also sang with Beyoncé at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show.

In 2018, Tiffany became the assistant vocal arranger for Beyoncé. She also became the lead background vocalist. She helped train the choir for Beyoncé's "Beychella" performances. Tiffany was also the lead background vocalist for the "On The Run 2" World Tour. She sang at Kobe Bryant's memorial in 2020.

In 2023, Tiffany became the Vocal Director for the Renaissance World Tour. She also performs as part of Beyoncé's background vocal group, Pure Honey.

Tiffany's journey as a background vocalist was featured in the movie 20 Feet From Stardom. This film won a Grammy Award and an Academy Award in 2014.

Tiffany's Own Music

After touring with Beyoncé, Tiffany started her solo music career. In 2010, she released her EP called Nemesis. It had five songs she wrote herself. She also released a music video for the song "Nemesis." The next year, she released another single, "Anytime."

Tiffany made big changes in her life. She lost nearly 100 pounds. She became a spokesperson for a health website. She was also featured in a book about healthy eating.

In 2016, Tiffany released the song "Braving The Storm." She released it to celebrate being one year cancer-free. Money from the song went to the American Cancer Society. Her husband, Kwiz, also released an album. Tiffany sang on two of its popular songs.

In 2019, her song "Nemesis" became popular again. The NBA used it in a highlight video for basketball player James Harden.

Personal Life and Health

Tiffany married Jeffery Riddick Jr. in 2000. They had a son in 2005. They later divorced in 2010. In 2016, Tiffany married Kevin "Kwiz" Ryan. He is a music producer. They also own a music company together.
