Tiftonia, also known as Lookout Valley, is a neighborhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It used to be a community that wasn't officially part of a city, located in Hamilton County, Tennessee. You can find it in the western part of Chattanooga, right next to a big highway called Interstate 24. Several U.S. Routes like 11, 41, 64, and 72 also pass through it.
Lookout Valley is a really old place! It's actually the oldest part of Hamilton County. People started settling here way back in the late 1790s and early 1800s. Guess what? The oldest house in all of Hamilton County, called John Brown's Ferry Tavern, is right here in Lookout Valley.
