Where is Tilikum Place?
Tilikum Place is easy to find because it sits at a special three-way intersection. You can find it where 5th Avenue, Cedar Street, and Denny Way all meet. This unique shape makes it stand out in the city.
A Bit of History
Long ago, this spot was important because it marked where three early settlers of Seattle claimed their land. These people were Arthur Denny, William Nathaniel Bell, and Carson Boren. So, Tilikum Place is built on a piece of land with a lot of history!
What Can You See and Do There?
Tilikum Place is designed for people to enjoy. It has several tables and benches where you can sit, eat a snack, or just watch the world go by. In 2008, new lights were added, making it a nice place to visit even after the sun sets.
One of the most famous things to see at Tilikum Place is a life-size statue of Chief Seattle. This amazing statue was created by a local artist named James Wehn. Chief Seattle was a very important leader for the Native American people in this area.
Right across from Tilikum Place, you'll find The 5 Point Cafe. It's a well-known spot that has been around for a long time.
