Music Career and Albums
Tim Harwill has been performing music for many years, both by himself and with his band. He has released 8 albums so far. People often call him "The 12-String Troubadour" because he plays a 12-string guitar. He has traveled all over North America, sharing his unique songs and singing style.
His music is called "Americana," and it tells stories about the interesting people and places he has met during his adventures on the road. Tim has worked with many talented musicians. These include James Talley, who is sometimes called the "Godfather" of Americana music, and country singers Steve Young and Tim Hus.
In 2012, Tim released an album called A Tribute to Catfish John. On this album, he worked with famous Alberta country musicians Alfie Myhre and Richard Chernesky. His 2014 album, Dance Floor, was very popular on the radio in North America. Two songs from this album were big hits: "I Love My Dog" reached number 1 on the Americana charts, and "Like Me & You" reached number 7. The Dance Floor album, which had 11 new songs written by Tim, stayed on the Americana Album charts for five weeks in 2015. It reached number 6 in the United States and number 3 in Canada.
After taking a break for eight years, Tim Harwill got his band back together with his long-time music partner Mike Beley. In 2022, they released a digital album called Still Nineteen.
Tim Harwill's Life
During his break from music, Tim Harwill went back to something else he loved: writing. He became known as a novelist and writer, using his family name, T.F. Pruden. As of 2024, he has published seven novels. He also wrote a monthly column for a magazine for several years. Tim Harwill is known for being a private person. He lives quietly in a small town in Alberta. He was also a professional boxer before he became a musician.
