Timothy L. McInnerny (born September 18, 1956) is a British actor. He is well-known for his many roles in plays and on TV. You might know him as Lord Percy Percy or Captain Darling from the 1980s British comedy show Blackadder.

About His Early Life
Timothy McInnerny was born on September 18, 1956, in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, England. His parents were Mary Joan and William Ronald McInnerny. He grew up in Cheadle Hulme and also in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
He went to Marling School, which is a grammar school in Stroud. After school, he took a year off to travel the world. Then, in 1976, he went to Wadham College, Oxford to study English.
His Acting Career
TV Shows and Series
Timothy McInnerny's first big role was in the comedy series Blackadder in the 1980s. He played two funny characters named Lord Percy Percy in the first two series, The Black Adder and Blackadder II. He didn't want to be in the third series because he worried he would only get similar roles. However, he did appear in one episode. Later, he came back to play Captain Kevin Darling in the fourth series, Blackadder Goes Forth.
He also had an important role in the 1985 BBC TV show Edge of Darkness. In 2016, McInnerny joined the cast of the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. He played Lord Robett Glover in Season 6.
In 2007, McInnerny talked about how much he liked certain TV comedies from the past. He said that shows like Mind Your Language and Love Thy Neighbour had amazing writing. He felt that the writing was brilliant, even if some of the content might not be seen as appropriate today.

Timothy McInnerny has also acted in many movies. In 1995, he was in Richard III. He also played Alonzo in the popular Disney movie 101 Dalmatians in 1996 and its sequel 102 Dalmatians in 2000. He appeared in the romantic comedy Notting Hill in 1999. More recently, he was in Eddie The Eagle in 2016 and The Aeronauts in 2019.

Radio Plays
Timothy McInnerny has also lent his voice to many radio plays. He played Laurie in "Cider with Rosie" in 1998. In 2004, he was the voice of Odysseus in "The Odyssey", a famous ancient Greek story. He also played Tiberius in the radio version of "I, Claudius" in 2010.

Theatre Performances
Timothy McInnerny has a strong background in theatre. In 1985, he acted alongside Anthony Hopkins in a play called Pravda. He also played Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1990 West End production of The Rocky Horror Show. You can hear his performance on the soundtrack album from that show.
In the summer of 2007, he played Iago in William Shakespeare's play Othello. This performance took place at Shakespeare's Globe theatre in London.
