Timothy James Rice-Oxley, born on June 2, 1976, is a talented English musician. He is most famous as the keyboard player, backup singer, and songwriter for the rock band Keane. In 2010, he also started another band called Mt. Desolation with his friend and bandmate, Jesse Quin.

Early Life and Musical Journey
Timothy James Rice-Oxley was born in Oxford, England. He has a younger brother named Tom. When Tim was a teenager, he took piano lessons. However, he didn't enjoy them much because he found the classical music boring. He often didn't practice.
After his parents stopped his lessons, something changed. Tim started to like the piano on his own. He taught himself how to play, mostly inspired by the famous band The Beatles. This shows how he found his own way to love music.
Tim's Role in Keane
Tim Rice-Oxley is a key member of the band Keane. He plays the keyboards and sings backup vocals for most of their songs. He also writes many of Keane's popular songs.
