Starting Out in Rugby

Tim Swinson began his rugby journey in amateur clubs. He played for Ayr in the Scottish Premiership during the 2017-18 season. This helped him gain experience before moving to professional rugby.

Professional Club Career

Tim played for several professional rugby clubs during his career.

Newcastle Falcons

He started his professional career with Newcastle Falcons in the English Premiership. Tim made his first team debut in the 2007–08 season against Bath. Even though it was a tough season for the team, Tim was named the Falcons Player of the Year. This showed how well he played.

Glasgow Warriors

In the 2012–13 season, Tim signed a deal to join Glasgow Warriors. He moved from Newcastle Falcons to play for this Scottish team. He spent many years playing for Glasgow.

Saracens F.C.

In May 2020, Tim announced he was retiring from rugby. He planned to start a new career as an apprentice in a garage. However, he later changed his mind! He signed a one-year contract with Saracens for the 2020–21 season. He then extended his contract for another year when Saracens returned to the Premiership. Tim finally retired from rugby in June 2022.

Tim also played for his country, Scotland.

He first played for the Scotland 'A' team. His debut for this team was in 2013 against England Saxons.

Scotland National Team
