Time is a small village located in Pike County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, only 26 people lived there. It's known for its quiet charm and a historic bandstand.

History of Time Village
Time was founded as a village in 1857. It is located in Hardin Township, which is part of Pike County, Illinois. The village's old slogan, created in 1910, was "Time marches on 1857-2007."
Early Days and Growth
When the first official count of people happened in 1880, about 120 people lived in Time. The village had four stores, two wagon shops, a blacksmith shop, and a flour mill. It was a busy place back then!
Decline and Modern Times
Over the years, the number of people living in Time has slowly gone down. By the 2010 census, only 22 people lived there. Today, the village is led by a village president.
Religious Life
Time was once an important religious center for the nearby communities. It used to have both a Methodist and a Christian church. Later, these joined to become the Time Community Church.
Culture and Fun in Time
In the past, Time was a popular spot for tourists in Illinois. People would visit for the yearly "Fall Color Tour" and "Ice Cream Social" events. These events were held around the old Band Stand in Time Square.
The Famous Bandstand
One of the most special things in Time is its bandstand. It was built around 1906 or 1907. This bandstand was where famous brass bands from the county played concerts in the 19th and 20th centuries. There was even a string band that played there in 1867.
The Time bandstand is a classic example of a public park gazebo. It's a beautiful spot for gatherings.
Other Village Features
Time was also known for inventing the "granitoid sidewalk," which was a new type of sidewalk at the time. The village also had a croquet course in the square, right next to the bandstand. Residents could play croquet there until 1910.
Education in Time
The village once had a two-room brick schoolhouse. This old school building is still standing on the east side of the village. However, it has not been used as a school since 1950. It is located just west of the cemetery.

Time is located at coordinates 39°33′40″N 90°43′23″W / 39.56111°N 90.72306°W. This means it's in the Midwestern United States, in the west-central part of Illinois.
The village covers a total area of about 0.44 square miles (0.66 square kilometers). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large lakes or rivers within the village limits.
