History of Tinkers Creek State Park
Before it became a state park, this land was a private park called Colonial Spring Gardens. The State of Ohio bought the land in 1966. Then, in 1973, it officially opened as Tinkers Creek State Park.
In 2014, a group called Summit Metro Parks made an agreement. They decided to help manage Tinkers Creek State Park. They also manage the Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve, which is right next to the park. This agreement helps keep the park special for everyone to enjoy.
