Toast'em Pop Ups are a yummy type of toaster pastry. They are made by the Schulze and Burch Biscuit Company. These treats have a sweet filling tucked inside two thin layers of pastry. They are also covered in frosting!
You usually buy them in packs of two. They come in special wrappers that keep them fresh, so you don't need to put them in the fridge. Most people heat them up in a toaster or toaster oven before eating them. The company says their pastries have "extra fruit filling" and are made with high quality.

The Story of Toast'em Pop Ups
How They Started
Back in 1963, a company called Post found a cool new way to keep moist foods from going bad. They used special foil or Mylar wrappers. At first, they used this for dog food!
Then, in February 1964, Post announced they would release a new breakfast pastry. They called it Country Squares. But they announced it too early! They weren't ready to make and sell enough of them.
The Rise of a Rival
While Post was still getting ready, another company, Kellogg's, quickly released their own new product. These were called Pop Tarts. Pop Tarts became very popular, very fast.
Country Squares didn't sell nearly as well as Pop Tarts. So, in 1965, Post changed the name of their pastry to Toast'em Pop Ups.
A New Owner
In 1971, Post decided to sell the rights to the Toast'em Pop Ups name and product. The Schulze and Burch Biscuit Company bought them. This company still makes Toast'em Pop Ups today!
