Tolú is a small town located in the Sucre Department in northern Colombia. It sits right on the beautiful Caribbean coast.

The area around Tolú is called a municipality. It covers about 301 square kilometers. The town gets its name from the Tolú people. They were an indigenous group who lived in the lowlands of northern Colombia long before Europeans arrived.

Tolú is surrounded by other towns and areas. To the north, it shares a border with San Onofre. To the east, you'll find Toluviejo. To the south, it borders Coveñas, Palmito, and Sincelejo.
