A long time ago, in 1904, a post office was opened in Tolland. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office helped the people living in Tolland for many years. It stayed open until 1944. The community of Tolland got its name from a local family called the Toll family. Members of this family included Jack Toll and Isabelle Toll.
