Where is Tollos?
Tollos sits high up in the mountains, about 780 meters (2,559 feet) above sea level. This gives it amazing views of the surrounding area. The village is part of the El Comtat region in the Province of Alicante.

The weather in Tollos is typically Mediterranean. This means it gets lots of sunshine, usually around 300 sunny days each year!

During the summer months, more families come to Tollos. They enjoy the peaceful mountain life. The village pool opens, and there's even a pool bar for refreshments.
History and Culture
Much of the area around Tollos was settled again by people from Majorca. This happened after the Moors, who were people from North Africa, left Spain in 1492. The main language spoken in this region is Valencian. However, Spanish is also commonly used.
Farming in Tollos
The main crops grown in Tollos are almonds and olives. In the nearby valleys, people also grow cherries. However, many fields are not being farmed anymore. This is because the people who live in the village are getting older, and fewer young people are working in agriculture.
