Tolu is a small, quiet place in Arkansas, United States. It's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's not officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Vineyard Township in Washington County.
Tolu is located right where Highway 59 meets Bellamy Road. This spot is very close to the border between Arkansas and Oklahoma. If you travel about 1.3 miles south, you'll find the community of Evansville, located across Evansville Creek.
A Little Bit of History
Tolu once had its own post office! This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office in Tolu opened its doors in 1887. It served the community for a few years before it closed down in 1902.
