Tomi Adeloye's Football Journey

Starting Out in Youth Football

Tomi Adeloye started playing football at a young age. He joined the youth team at Charlton Athletic. He did very well there and even got invited to train with Nigeria's Under-16 team. After Charlton, he moved to the youth team of Millwall.

He then signed his first professional contract with Stoke City. He scored five goals for their Under-18s team. After Stoke City, Tomi played for many teams in the English Fifth tier, which is called the National League. He gained a lot of experience playing for clubs like Dagenham & Redbridge, Ebbsfleet United, and Barnet.

In December 2020, Tomi had a short time playing for East Kilbride in Scotland. He scored two goals in his first game, which was a big 9–0 win. He played one more game before the league was paused. He then finished that season playing for Barnet.

Success with Ayr United

On 1 July 2021, Tomi Adeloye moved back to Scotland. He joined Ayr United on a one-year deal. He became Ayr's top scorer that season. He scored 14 goals in 38 games. Fans really liked him, and he left the club as a fan favourite.

Time at Swindon Town

On 15 July 2022, Tomi signed a two-year contract with Swindon Town. He played his first game for them in a match against Harrogate Town. Tomi scored his first goal for Swindon as a substitute in a game against Newport County. His contract with Swindon Town ended in the summer of 2024.

Loan to Partick Thistle

In July 2023, Tomi Adeloye went back to Scotland. He joined Partick Thistle, a club in the Scottish Championship, on a loan deal for the whole season. He scored his first goal for Partick Thistle in a 4–1 win against Greenock Morton. He scored with a great curling shot into the top corner.

In March 2024, Tomi got a hamstring injury. This injury needed surgery, which meant he could not play for the rest of that season. Even with his injury, Tomi had a great record at Partick Thistle. He scored goals very often, averaging 1.55 goals for every 90 minutes he played. This was the best goal-to-minutes ratio in the league.

Joining Greenock Morton

In February 2025, Tomi Adeloye signed a short-term deal with Scottish Championship team Greenock Morton.
