Starting Young

Playing in Japan's Top Leagues
Tomoki then moved to play in Japan's higher football leagues. In 2007, he played one game for Kashiwa Reysol in the J1 League. This is Japan's top football division. From 2008 to 2009, he played for Yokohama FC in the J2 League. The J2 League is the second-highest division. He played 72 games for Yokohama FC and scored 11 goals.
Returning Home to Giravanz
Tomoki Ikemoto returned to his hometown club, Giravanz Kitakyushu, in 2010. He played for them for five years until 2014. During this time, he played 172 games and scored 41 goals. He then had a short period with Matsumoto Yamaga in 2015. After that, he came back to Giravanz Kitakyushu in 2016. He has continued to play for them since then. By January 2020, he had played 111 more games and scored 34 goals for Giravanz Kitakyushu.
