Robert Anthony "Tony" Ince, born in 1958, is a Canadian politician. He was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in 2013. He represented the area of Cole Harbour for the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. He won against the person who held the job before him, Premier Darrell Dexter. In October 2024, Mr. Ince shared that he would not run for election again.

Early Life and Work
Tony Ince was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Before becoming a politician, he worked as a counselor. He helped people through the Department of Community Services. He also worked as a project coordinator for the Black Educators Association. This group helps Black educators and students.
Becoming a Politician
Tony Ince first tried to become a politician in 2009. He ran in the provincial election but did not win that time. He ran again in the 2013 provincial election and was elected. This meant he became a member of the Nova Scotia government.
Important Roles in Government
On October 22, 2013, Tony Ince was given special jobs in the government. He joined the Executive Council of Nova Scotia. This is like a team of ministers who help lead the province. He became the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage. He also served as the Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs. This role focuses on the needs and culture of people of African descent in Nova Scotia. He was also in charge of the Heritage Property Act. This law helps protect important historical places.
Ince was elected again in 2017. On June 15, 2017, the Premier, Stephen McNeil, changed some government roles. Tony Ince became the Minister of the Public Service Commission. He continued to be the Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs.
