Tony Lynn Mack is an American former professional baseball player. He was born on April 30, 1961. Tony played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Tony Mack's Early Baseball Days
Tony Mack grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. He went to Tates Creek High School. Even though he was not very tall at 5 feet 7 inches, he was a great baseball player.
High School Success
In 1978, when Tony was a junior, his team won the Kentucky high school baseball state championship. Tony was a key player in this victory. He won both the semifinal and championship games. Because of his amazing performance, he was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
College Baseball Journey
After high school, Tony wanted to play college baseball. He chose to attend Lamar University in Texas. He picked Lamar because it was in the South. He felt this was the right place to get serious about baseball.

Tony Mack became a star player at Lamar University. He played for the Lamar Cardinals. He achieved many great things during his time there.
Awards and Achievements
Tony was named to the All-Southland Conference Team in both 1981 and 1982. In 1981, his team won the conference championship. He even pitched a special game called a no-hitter against McNeese State. This means no opposing player got a hit off him during the entire game.
Gold Medal Winner
In 1981, Tony also played for the United States national team. They competed in the 1981 World Games. Tony helped his team win a gold medal in baseball. This was a big achievement for him and his country.
