Tooned In is a fun American game show that first aired on Nickelodeon on February 8, 2021. It's all about testing kids' knowledge of Nickelodeon cartoons! In the show, kid contestants answer trivia questions. They compete to win awesome prizes and a chance at a big cash prize.

What is Tooned In About?

Imagine a game show hosted by a super cool animated robot named Nicky! That's Tooned In. Nicky, voiced by Rama Vallury, challenges kids with questions about their favorite Nickelodeon cartoons.

Each episode features three kids. They battle through rounds of trivia. The goal is to show off their cartoon smarts. And yes, there's lots of slime involved! Only one contestant can make it to the end. That person becomes the big winner of the episode. They then get to play a special bonus round against Nicky himself. This final challenge gives them a chance to win the amazing $1,000 grand prize!

How to Play Tooned In

The game has two main rounds before the final bonus round. Kids earn points by answering questions correctly. But watch out for wrong answers, because they can make you lose points and get slimed!

Round One: Quick Questions and Slime

In the first round, questions are asked quickly. Contestants buzz in to answer. Each correct answer gives them 10 points. If they answer wrong, 10 points are taken away. And here's the messy part: if you get a question wrong, you get slimed!

The last question of this round is called "The Impossible Question." The three contestants see a picture or video. It has many objects in it. They secretly guess how many objects there are. The person whose guess is closest to the real number, whether higher or lower, earns 20 points!

Round Two: More Points and Cartoon Cosplay

Round two questions are worth more points, 20 points each. Getting it right adds 20 points. Getting it wrong takes away 20 points.

A popular game in this round is "Cartoon Cosplay." A person called "the Nicktoon Nickgoon" dresses up as a famous Nicktoon character. They then ask questions related to that character. It's a fun way to test cartoon knowledge!

The main game ends with a fast-paced round called "All The Answers." Nicky asks 10 questions. At the same time, 12 possible answers appear on a screen. Contestants must quickly pick the right answers. If there's a tie, one more question is asked to decide the winner. The winner moves on to the bonus round!

Climb or Slime: The Bonus Round

The final contestant plays "Climb or Slime." They have 60 seconds to answer 5 questions. These questions are dual-choice, meaning there are two possible answers. Each question is on a different level of a game board.

  • The first correct answer wins $100.
  • Each correct answer after that adds $50 more to the prize.
  • If you answer correctly, you move up to the next level.
  • If you answer incorrectly, you have a choice:
    • You can choose "Slime Reset." This means you get slimed, but you stay on the same question.
    • Or, you can move to a different cartoon show on the same level.

The very last question is on the top level. The contestant chooses its category before the round starts. If they get this final question wrong, they automatically get a "Slime Reset." If the contestant answers all 5 questions correctly within 60 seconds, they win the awesome $1,000 grand prize! If they run out of time, they still get to keep the money they won up to that point. For example, four correct answers would earn them $700.
