Toshihiro Yamaguchi (born November 19, 1971) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented midfielder and forward. Yamaguchi played for several professional clubs in Japan. He also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs

Toshihiro Yamaguchi was born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He was born on November 19, 1971. After leaving Kindai University, he started his professional career. In 1993, he joined Gamba Osaka. He quickly became an important player for the team. By 1994, he was a regular starter.

In 1996, Yamaguchi moved to Kyoto Purple Sanga. He played there for two seasons. In June 1998, he signed with Sanfrecce Hiroshima. With Sanfrecce Hiroshima, he helped the team reach the final of the 1999 Emperor's Cup. They finished as runners-up in that tournament. Toshihiro Yamaguchi retired from playing football at the end of the 2000 season.

During his club career, Yamaguchi played a total of 158 league games. He scored 31 goals in these matches.

Playing for Japan

Toshihiro Yamaguchi also played for his country. He made his first appearance for the Japan national team on July 8, 1994. This match was against Ghana.
