The 1995 FIFA Confederations Cup was an exciting international football tournament. It was the second time this event, then known as the King Fahd Cup, was played. The competition took place in Saudi Arabia from January 6 to January 13.

Tournament Overview

The King Fahd Cup was a special football event. It brought together the champions from different football confederations. This meant teams that won big tournaments in their own regions got to play each other.

The 1995 tournament was held entirely in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. All the matches were played at the King Fahd International Stadium. This stadium is a very large and famous venue.

How the Tournament Worked

The six teams were divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Each group had three teams. Teams played against the other teams in their group once.

  • The team that finished first in Group A played the team that finished first in Group B in the final.
  • The team that finished second in Group A played the team that finished second in Group B for third place.
