Tottenham Lock (Lock number 17) is a special water elevator for boats on the River Lee Navigation in London, England. It's found near the area called Tottenham. This lock is actually a pair of locks, meaning there are two side-by-side.
These locks are big enough for large boats called barges, which can weigh up to 130 tons. One of the locks works with machines, making it easier to open and close. The other lock still needs people to operate it by hand. Tottenham Lock wasn't always in this exact spot. It was moved to its current location when a new waterway was built, creating a meeting point for canals just south of the lock.
