Tove Alsterdal (born December 28, 1960) is a Swedish writer. She has worked as a journalist, written plays, and created movie scripts. Tove is best known for her exciting crime novels. She has won important awards for her books, like the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award and the Glass Key award.

Tove Alsterdal's Writing Journey
Tove Alsterdal finished her journalism studies in 1985. After that, she worked as a journalist. She also wrote plays for the theater and scripts for movies. She even helped edit several books by another famous Swedish writer, Liza Marklund.
Tove wrote the script for the 2009 movie Så olika

Tove Alsterdal started writing crime novels in 2009. Her first crime book was called Kvinnorna på stranden.
Her book Låt mig ta din hand won the Best Swedish Crime Novel Award in 2014. This is a very important award for crime writers in Sweden.
Later, her novel Rotvälta won the same award again in 2020. The next year, in 2021, Rotvälta also received the Glass Key award. This award is given to the best crime novel in the Nordic countries.
