Tracie Davis was born on May 6, 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida. She is an American politician and a former teacher. She currently serves as a Senator for District 5 in the Florida Senate. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Before becoming a Senator, Tracie Davis was a teacher. She taught special education for Duval County Public Schools. Later, she worked as the deputy supervisor of elections. She earned her education degrees from University of North Florida and Edward Waters College.

In 2016, Tracie Davis was chosen to represent District 13 in the Florida House of Representatives. She served in the Florida House until November 2022. After that, she became a Senator for District 5. She has been selected to lead the Senate Democratic Caucus for the 2026–2028 term.
