Tracy Harris Patterson (born on December 26, 1964) is an American former professional boxer. He competed in boxing from 1985 to 2000. Tracy was a world champion in two different weight classes. He held the World Boxing Council (WBC) super bantamweight title from 1992 to 1994. He also won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior lightweight title in 1995.

Tracy Harris was born in Grady, Alabama. He is the adopted son of Floyd Patterson, who was a famous boxer himself. Floyd Patterson was a Golden Gloves champion and a world heavyweight champion. Tracy followed in his father's footsteps, turning his own Golden Gloves success into a strong professional boxing career.
Tracy's Amateur Boxing Days
Before becoming a professional, Tracy Patterson was a successful amateur boxer. He won two championships in the New York Golden Gloves competition. He won the 119-pound championship in 1984. The next year, in 1985, he won the 125-pound championship. Tracy trained at the Huguenot Boys Club in New Paltz, New York. His adoptive father, Floyd Patterson, who had also won two Golden Gloves titles, was his trainer.
Tracy's Professional Boxing Career
Tracy Patterson started his professional boxing career in 1985. In 1992, he won his first world title, the WBC super bantamweight title. He won this title by defeating Thierry Jacob with a TKO (Technical Knockout). This was a special moment because Tracy and his father, Floyd Patterson, became the first father and son to both win world titles in boxing.
Tracy defended his WBC title four times. However, in 1994, he lost the belt to Hector Acero Sánchez. But Tracy didn't give up! In 1995, he won another world title, the IBF super featherweight title. He won this by TKO'ing Eddie Hopson. Later that same year, he lost this title when he defended it against Arturo Gatti. Tracy had a rematch with Gatti in 1997 but lost that fight too. He retired from boxing in 2001 after a draw, ending his career with a record of 63 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws.
