Tracy Moore is a well-known Canadian television journalist. She was born on January 6, 1975. Many people know her as the host of the popular lifestyle talk show CityLine. This show was on Citytv for many years, from 2008 until 2024.
Before hosting CityLine, Tracy worked as a news anchor. She was on Breakfast Television for Citytv Toronto. This was from 2005 to 2008. Sometimes, she also filled in as a co-host for that show. In 2024, Citytv announced that CityLine would end. Tracy Moore was then set to return to Breakfast Television. She was going to co-host a new hour of lifestyle features. This new show was planned with Cheryl Hickey. However, in January 2025, the network shared that this new program would not happen.
Early Life and Education
Tracy Moore grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She went to Langstaff Secondary School there. After high school, she studied at McGill University. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science. At first, she wanted to become a lawyer.
However, while volunteering at the campus radio station CKUT-FM, she found a new interest. She became very interested in journalism. After McGill, she continued her studies. She completed a master's degree in journalism. She earned this degree at the University of Western Ontario.
Career in Television
Tracy Moore began her career in journalism at CBC Television. She worked as a videographer there. This means she filmed and edited news stories. Later, she worked for a Toronto TV station called CKXT-TV. This station is no longer on air.
After that, she joined Citytv. In 2008, she became the host of CityLine. She took over after Marilyn Denis left the show. Marilyn Denis moved to work for another media company. Tracy hosted CityLine for many years, sharing tips on home, fashion, and more.
Awards and Recognition
Tracy Moore has been recognized for her work in television. In January 2023, she received a special award. She won the Changemaker Award. This award was given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. It was presented at the 11th Canadian Screen Awards. This award celebrates people who make a big difference.
Personal Life
Tracy Moore is married to Lio Perron. They have two children together. Their children's names are Sidney and Eva.
