Tracy Ann Wormworth (born December 15, 1958) is an American bass guitarist. She is well-known for playing with the famous band The B-52s since 1990. Tracy has also been a member of another band called The Waitresses and has played music for many other artists.

Tracy's Musical Journey

Tracy Wormworth's music career started when she joined The Waitresses. This was a "new wave" band from Akron, Ohio. New wave music was a popular style in the late 1970s and early 1980s, often using synthesizers and catchy tunes. Tracy joined the band after their first album was released. She even appears in a photo on the back cover of that album! The Waitresses band stopped playing together in 1984.

Playing with The B-52s

Tracy began playing with The B-52s in 1990. She played bass on their album Good Stuff in 1992. She also recorded music for The Flintstones movie soundtrack in 1994. By 2008, Tracy was officially listed as a band member on their album Funplex. You can also see her playing in their live concert video from 2011, called With the Wild Crowd! Live in Athens, GA.

Besides her work with The B-52s, Tracy Wormworth has been a touring bass player for many famous musicians. She has played with artists like Sting, Wayne Shorter, Cyndi Lauper, and Joan Osborne.
