The Traunstein is a really tall mountain in Austria. It stands proudly on the east side of Lake Traunsee. This mountain is located in the Gmunden area.

At 1691 metres (about 5548 feet) high, Traunstein is super tall! Because it's so high, you can see it from far away. It's a famous landmark in the region.

When you reach the top of Traunstein, you'll find two cozy mountain huts. These huts are great places for hikers to rest and enjoy the views. They offer a place to stay or grab a snack after a long climb.
