Travis Hunter (writer) facts for kids

Travis Hunter is an American author who writes exciting stories, often about life in cities. He started his writing journey by publishing his very first book, The Hearts of Men, all by himself in 2000. He even created his own company, Jimrose Publishing House, to do it!

After showing his book at a big event called Book Expo America, a major publisher named Random House became interested. They re-released The Hearts of Men in 2001. Since then, Travis Hunter has written many more novels. His most recent book, Married but Not Really, came out in 2018, and he published that one himself again through his own company.

Travis Hunter was born in Florence, South Carolina. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also went to college at Clark Atlanta University and Georgia State University. He even served in the U.S. Army before becoming a writer.
