Early Days with The Braxtons

In 1991, Toni Braxton was chosen to be a solo artist. She signed with a new record label called LaFace Records. The other sisters were told that the label was not looking for another girl group.
After Toni left the group, the remaining Braxtons sisters became backup singers for Toni. They sang on her first U.S. tour and appeared in her music videos. Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar were in the music video for Toni Braxton's song, "Seven Whole Days".
In 1993, The Braxtons signed with LaFace Records again. However, they did not release any music with this label. When a record executive named Bryant Reid moved to Atlantic Records, he brought the group with him.
