Trinity-Pawling School is a special school just for boys in grades 7 through 12, and also for students who have finished high school but want an extra year of study. It's an independent school, which means it's not run by the government. It's also a college-preparatory school, helping students get ready for college. Many students live at the school, making it a boarding school. Trinity-Pawling is located in Pawling, New York, on a big campus that's about 230 acres. That's like 175 football fields! It's about 60 miles north of New York City.

School History
Trinity-Pawling School was started in 1907 by Frederick Luther Gamage. He used to be the headmaster at another school called St. Paul's School. The very first building for the school was Dutcher House, which used to be a hotel.
Soon after, a man named George Bywater Cluett gave a lot of money to the school. He had helped Mr. Gamage before with a gym at St. Paul's. This money helped build a new main building for the school, which was first known as The Pawling School.
One of the first students at Trinity-Pawling was William Bradford Turner. He was a brave soldier who died fighting in World War I. He was given a special award called the Medal of Honor after he passed away.
In 1910, the school moved to its current spot. A new building called Cluett Hall was designed by an architect from New York City, Grosvenor Atterbury. The school changed its name to Trinity-Pawling School in 1947.

Honor Code and Council
Trinity-Pawling has an Honor Code that helps students learn to be honest and have integrity. The Honor Council is a group of students chosen by their classmates. They help make sure everyone follows the Honor Code and teach others about being honorable.
At the start of each school year, all students and teachers sign an honor pledge. It says:
"Honesty and integrity live at the heart of the school. Behavior inspired by faith and virtue creates honor in the academic community and allows us to live by the principles of the Trinity-Pawling Honor Code: My efforts, preparations, and presentation are at all times honest."
School Traditions
Trinity-Pawling has several special traditions:
- Prefects: Each year, students and teachers vote for five to seven students to be "prefects." These students help lead the student body. They are announced at a special ceremony before graduation.
- Dress Code: For important events like Chapel, boys wear "Blues and Grays." This means a blue blazer, gray pants, white shirts, and often a blue and gold tie. On regular class days, students wear a blazer, tie, and khaki-style pants. Sometimes, there's a "dress-down day" where students can wear more casual clothes to raise money for charity.
- Thanksgiving Dinner: The night before the Thanksgiving break, everyone enjoys a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Prefects even judge which teacher carves the turkey best!
- Candlelight: This is a special Christmas or holiday celebration held twice. Once for the local community and once for students, teachers, and their families. A roast beef dinner follows this event.
- Head of School Holidays: Once each term, the Head of School gives the boys a night off from homework. They also get to sleep in the next day!
