Starting Strong as a Freshman
In his first year, called his "true freshman" year in 2007, Trinton made a big impact. He started every single game, all 13 of them, as the left tackle. This was a rare achievement! He was the first true freshman to start at that position in a season opener for Georgia since 1989.
Because of his amazing performance, Trinton earned Freshman All-American First Team honors. This recognition came from sports websites like Scout.com and Rivals.com.
Dealing with Injuries
Sadly, Trinton faced several injuries during his college career. He missed the entire 2008 season because he needed surgery on his left knee. He had torn a major ligament in his knee during a practice game before the season started.
He tried to come back in 2009. He played in the first game of the season against Oklahoma State. However, he reinjured the same left knee during that game. This injury meant he had to sit out the rest of the 2009 season.
The Famous "Gator Stomp"
Trinton is also remembered for a fun moment during the 2007 Florida-Georgia football game. After Georgia scored its first touchdown, the entire team rushed onto the field to celebrate. Trinton was seen dancing in front of the Florida players. This celebration became known as the "Gator Stomp." Georgia went on to win that game with a score of 42-30.
