Tristan Gale was born on August 10, 1980. She is an American athlete who competed in the sport of skeleton. She raced from 2001 to 2006.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics, she made history. Tristan became the very first women's skeleton champion. For the 2002 Olympics, Tristan even dyed her hair! It had streaks of red, white, and blue. In the 2002-2003 season, she won another gold medal. This was at a World Cup event in Salt Lake City, her home track. She has never lost a race at the Utah Olympic Park track since the Olympics.

Tristan also earned a bronze medal. This was in the women's skeleton event. It happened at the 2003 World Championships in Nagano. She stopped competing before the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Tristan's best overall finish in the Skeleton World Cup was third place in 2002–2003.

Tristan Gale was born in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Today, she lives in Salt Lake City.
