Trosper Lake is a small lake located in Thurston County, Washington, in the U.S. state of Washington. It's a natural body of water that's part of the beautiful landscape of the area.
This lake covers an area of about 17 acres (6.9 ha), which is roughly the size of 13 football fields. At its deepest point, Trosper Lake goes down about 12 feet (3.7 m). That's about as deep as a one-story building is tall!
How Trosper Lake Got Its Name
Trosper Lake was named after a person named John Trosper. He was an early settler in the area. A "pioneer citizen" is someone who was among the first people to settle and live in a new place. So, the lake carries the name of one of the first important people in its history.
