The Trump Vancouver is a very tall building, also known as a skyscraper, located in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It stands 188 meters (617 feet) high and has 63 floors. When it was finished, it became the second tallest building in Vancouver. Only the Shangri-La tower is taller.
Building History
How the Project Started
The idea for this building first came up a while ago. However, the plans for its construction were stopped in 2009. Later, new plans were made to build it.
Unveiling the New Tower
On June 19, 2013, a special event was held. Joo Kim Tiah, who is the president of Holborn Group, announced the new project. He was joined by businessman and developer Donald Trump and his three children. They shared the exciting news about the Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver. This big project cost about $360 million to build.
Opening Day
The construction of the building went well after the announcement. The Trump Vancouver officially opened its doors in the fall of 2016. It quickly became a well-known landmark in the city.
