Truscott is a small, quiet place in Knox County, Texas, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county. About 50 people live there today.
You can find Truscott along FM 1756. It's in the northern part of Knox County. The community is about 100 miles north of a bigger city called Abilene.

How Truscott Began
Truscott was first settled in the 1880s. It was named after J.J. Truscott, who was an early pioneer in the area. A pioneer is someone who is among the first to explore and settle a new region.
Population Changes Over Time
The number of people living in Truscott changed a lot over the years. In 1940, the community was at its biggest. Around 500 people lived there then. After that, the population started to get smaller.
