Building the Tuas West Road MRT Station
The plan for this station was first shared on January 11, 2011. Mr. Raymond Lim, who was the Transport Minister at the time, announced it. He spoke about it during a visit to Bedok, where new platform doors were being opened.
The station was expected to be finished by the year 2016. It was predicted that about 100,000 people would use this station every day. This would make daily travel much easier for many commuters.
