About Tuba City High School
Tuba City High School first opened its doors in 1959. It is one of two high schools in the Tuba City area. Right next door is Greyhills Academy High School, which started in 1972.
These two schools are separated by a fence. They are known for being friendly rivals in both academics and sports.
Amazing Sports Achievements
Tuba City High School has a proud history of winning in sports. Their teams are called the Warriors.
Cross Country Success
The school's cross country team has achieved great things. In 1982, they were named the National Cross Country Champions! This award was given through the XC Legacy series.
This national title was a big win for their coach, Bud Davis. It was part of an amazing period where the team won eight state titles in a row. They won eleven state titles in just thirteen seasons.
Volleyball Victories
The Tuba City High School varsity volleyball team also has a history of success. They were the champions in 2012.
The cross-country team continued its winning streak, taking first place in the state again in 2013.
