Tulip is a small, quiet place in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is not a big city with its own government. Instead, it is a community that spreads across two counties: northwest Audrain County and southwest Monroe County.

Where is Tulip Located?

You can find the community of Tulip along Monroe County Road 92. A stream called Long Branch flows nearby. It is about one mile west and north of Tulip. Bigger towns are not too far away. Moberly is about 15 miles to the north. Centralia is about eight miles south of Tulip.

The Story of Tulip

Tulip had its own post office a long time ago. It opened in 1879 and closed in 1907. The community got its name from an early settler. This person loved tulip flowers very much.
