Turmero is a city located in the northern part of Venezuela. It is found in the state of Aragua. Turmero is also the main city, or capital, of the Santiago Mariño Municipality.
The city officially began on November 27, 1620. This happened when a church called Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Candelaria was built in a village that was already there.
