You can find Twin Oaks where two important roads meet. These roads are US 21 and US 221. It's about 3 miles (which is about 5 kilometers) northwest of a nearby town called Sparta. This makes it easy to get to from different directions.
The Story Behind the Name
Twin Oaks got its interesting name from a pair of very large oak trees. These two big trees used to stand close to where an old drive-in movie theater once was. The theater was called the Twin Oaks Drive-In Theater, but it is no longer open. Even though the trees might be gone and the theater closed, their memory lives on in the name of the community!
