Tyrone Phillips (born 5 January 1994) is a professional rugby league player. He plays for the Fiji international team. Tyrone usually plays as a fullback, centre, or winger.

About Tyrone Phillips
Tyrone Phillips was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His family comes from both Fiji and Indigenous Australia.
He started playing rugby league when he was young. His first team was La Perouse United. Later, he was signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs, a big club in Australia.
Tyrone's Rugby Journey
Starting His Career
From 2011 to 2013, Tyrone played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs' NYC team. This is a competition for young players. He scored 24 tries in 46 games, which is a great achievement!
In 2013, he signed a two-year contract with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. He continued to play for their NYC team in 2014. Later that year, he moved up to the Bulldogs' New South Wales Cup team. This is a step closer to the top league.
On 3 May 2014, Tyrone played for the New South Wales under-20s team. They played against the Queensland under-20s team.
Playing for Fiji and NRL Debut
On 2 May 2015, Tyrone played for Fiji for the first time. He played against Papua New Guinea in the 2015 Melanesian Cup. Fiji won the game 22-10.
Soon after, in Round 11 of the 2015 NRL season, he made his NRL debut. This is when he played his first game in Australia's top rugby league competition. He played for the Canterbury Bulldogs against the Canberra Raiders.
At the end of 2015, he was named on the wing in the New South Wales Cup Team of the Year. This means he was one of the best players in that competition. He also signed a new two-year contract with the Canterbury club.
Moving to Penrith
On 9 November 2017, Tyrone signed a one-year contract with the Penrith Panthers for the 2018 season. This was a new team for him.
In Round 9 of the 2018 NRL season, Tyrone played his first game for the Penrith Panthers. He started on the wing and scored two tries! Even though he scored, his team lost the game 20-26 against the North Queensland Cowboys.
Winning a Grand Final
In 2019, Tyrone played for the Canterbury Cup NSW club Newtown. On 30 June, he scored a try in a game against his old team, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Tyrone had a big moment in 2019 when he played for Newtown in their Canterbury Cup NSW grand final. They played against the Wentworthville Magpies. Newtown won the game in extra-time, with a try scored in the 88th minute! Tyrone was part of the play that led to this winning try.
Recent Years
In 2023, Tyrone Phillips continued to play rugby league. He played for the Glebe team in the Ron Massey Cup.
