About Novese Football Club
Novese was started in 1919. The club made history by winning the F.I.G.C. Italian Football Championship in the 1921–22 season. This was a very unusual year for Italian football.
A Special Championship Win
In the 1921–22 season, there were two different national football leagues in Italy. One was run by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC). The other was created by a new group called the Confederazione Calcistica Italiana (CCI). The CCI league included many of the biggest clubs from Northern Italy at that time. Novese competed in the FIGC championship and won it, making them national champions.
